Through the years of experience we have working with people to quit smoking, we have complied a number of questions that you may have on your mind. If you have any questions not covered here, feel free to use the Submit a Question form on the left and we will get back to you shortly.

How does the program work?

Once you choose your Quit Smoking Coach, you will meet with him or her in person, on the phone or online for a two hour session. During this session, your Coach will get to know you and your smoking behaviors, your personal reasons for quitting and identify with you your own benefits for becoming a non-smoker. From there, your Coach will coach you through a number of exercises which will once and for all put smoking into your past. 94.5% of our clients quit smoking in their first session!

The success of our program is due to it being based on traditional coaching, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and hypnotherapy. By using proven techniques coupled with cognitive hypnotherapy we will help you to produce results that can last a lifetime. It is EASY to quit smoking today!

What qualifications will my Coach have?

All of our coaches undergo a rigorous training in the skills of NLP, Hypnosis and Coaching. They have developed their coaching skills further by hands on, live coaching through the Quit Smoking Coach program.

How effective is the program?

While we can’t force you to be a non smoker, that choice is and will always be up to you. With the combination NLP and Hypnotherapy work together to quickly make long lasting and healthy changes. 94.5% of our clients quit smoking forever in their first session. If you have decided that it is time to quit smoking now, this program will be very effective. If you are still deciding if you should quit smoking, perhaps book a one-hour exploratory session with your coach to see if you can find the desire to quit now.

Why do some people not quit smoking after their first session?

There is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ coaching methodology and everyone we work with is different. During your session, your coach will get to know you, your behaviors, habits, thoughts and actions. Your coach will identify your primary and secondary reasons for smoking and will work with you to change these conscious and unconscious patterns. Some people have deeper unconscious reasons for smoking and may require additional coaching support to address these issues. We call these types of reasons ‘secondary gain’ – a benefit for keeping a problem. With your coach, you will address these reasons to build additional resources and clear any other interferences, possible barriers to your success and patterns which may hold you in your old smoking pattern.

If you have not quit smoking within two days of your session with your Quit Smoking Coach, make another appointment. This time, during a one-hour session, your coach will help you to identify any secondary gain and additional reasons that you may still be smoking. Some people will need to address additional issues such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse or other underlying issues in subsequent coaching sessions.

Is your coaching program safe?

Absolutely! Your coach will be using a very safe form of cognitive hypnosis coupled with NLP techniques so you will quit smoking now, forever. You certainly will not be asleep or unconscious. If you were asleep, you would not be able to have a dialog with your Coach. As a matter of fact, during any of the exercises you will do with your coach, you are even more aware of what is going on around you than you would ordinarily be but you can be selective about it (which you can’t do in the waking state). You will find all of the exercises help you to be in a very relaxed and pleasant state.

Additionally, you are ALWAYS in control, you cannot be hypnotized against your will. Similarly, you will not do anything against your will while in a hypnotic state.  Your mind still has a “filter” or a “conscience” wherein it still acts to what you feel is right or wrong.

Will I put on weight when I quit smoking?

This is one of the biggest myths of smokers. The lack of nicotine does not make a person put on weight, food does. With the help of your coach, you will Quit Smoking. You will not be trading this behavior for another one.  Lack of nicotine does not make a person put on weight, food does.

This myth is like saying all non smokers are overweight, which is not true; or all smokers are thin which isn’t true either.

Do you guarantee that I will quit smoking?

We guarantee that our program works, and when you follow any tasks given to you by your coach and have a true desire to quit smoking, you will quit smoking. However, your coach cannot follow you around and ensure you don’t smoke. Most of our clients find that it is easy to stay smoke free. The exercises your Coach will do with you will take away cravings, clear the ‘reasons’ you smoke and empower your ability to continue to choose to be a non-smoker. Most people tell us they need no will power to change, its like a “switch is turned off”, making it easy to make this change now.

Your Coach will continue to work with you for as long as it takes for you to be a non-smoker. A reduced hourly rate is applied to all subsequent sessions. Remember, 94.5% of our clients quit smoking after their first two-hour session!

Can I buy a CD or audio program?

We do have a Quit Smoking audio CD available for sale – but it is very different from working with a Coach. Your Coach will tailor a program to fit you. Each person is different, with different needs, desires, reasons, beliefs and behaviors. It is usually more beneficial to work with a coach one-on-one. Many of our coaches offer coaching sessions via the telephone or online using a voice/webcam system like Skype.
